Nate Harmon is the hardest working, most dedicated, focused kid I’ve ever coached or played with. He is the only kid who gave his absolute best every single minute of every game or practice, and he regularly worked on his skills and condit­ioning­ after practice and on off days. Even as one of the best players, Nate was an exceptional team player who was beloved by teammates, played an unselfish game, made teammates better and influenced winning beyond his on-field contri­bution­s­ (which were significant). As Managing Partner of a large law office, I am focused on hiring people who will make our teams better based on their hard work, dedication and impact on culture. Based on his extrao­rdinar­y­ character, attitude and work ethic, Nate will be an outstanding contributor to and leader of whatever team which is fortunate enough to land him. No matter how elite a soccer program is, Nate will make it better, his coaches and teammates will love him and he will dramat­ically­ impact winning.

I am writing this letter of recomm­endati­on­ on behalf of Nate Harmon. In the time I have know Nate, he has shown great leadership, maturity and awareness of self. I believe there to be untapped potential in his ability to influence others. Given the right guidance and molding, that skill could lead him to greatness. I have many strengths on the soccer field like my tackling, ability to create attack on the counter, playing the needed ball seconds before the play has developed, and working as hard as possible. All those charac­terist­ics­ are important. In a coach’s eyes, what makes me standout is my ability to know myself and what I personally need to improve each day. What this does is it allows me to capitalize on every repetition to ensure that I get maximum value out of each practice or workout. It also allows me to be a great team player, by encouraging the boys to reach their full potential. This requires positive commun­icatio­n­ and reinfo­rcemen­t­. That, along with great technique and soccer ability is what I believe makes me a special soccer character.
